I tried this with some really old sprue and it just melted. I had more success with some modern day sprue but when trying to glue it, the revell glue melted the plastic. Ended up using super glue which was okay. I'm fairly new to all this so it's a bit of a learning curve for me. I'm just addicted to this new hobby so please keep posting your great tips.👍

Many thanks, using a short candle and balancing hands on counter top are very helpful tips.

Thanks for sharing this 'How-To", I really like this technique, and will have a go at it. I have some upcoming Russian Armor builds that will benefit from this tutorial.
