The CIA was convinced that the Soviet Union had discovered a drug or technique to control minds, and as a response, they launched a top-secret program called MK-Ultra. MK-Ultra’s main purpose was to conduct covert experiments centered around behavior modification. The alleged race for manipulating the human mind had just begun, and the drug at the heart of it was discovered by accident.

My first time using LSD was 1990 when I was 16, for "a laugh", by my mid 20s I had taken so much LSD I began to believe LSD should be given away free on the NHS. I never took it for any spiritual reasons, I took it for the experience, because psychedelics have always interested me. I did have quite a few unexpectedly profound moments with acid, notably realising that we are all connected through a shared consciousness, something I still believe in today.

Not taken psychedelics now since the late 1990s, but I have been tempted to buy some trippy flip choc bars online recently, well I say recently, I bought 2 bars in January and they still sit there in a cupboard lol

Psychedelics are great. Funny story, LSD actually saved my life, I was going down the wrong path in my youth, alcohol, drugs, crime etc. One day a friend convinced me to try some acid, it was very potent, after getting over the giggles, I realized that my perception of everything completely changed, I saw life in a more logical sense, I literally looked into the mirror and I immediately saw the stupidity of my behavior, when I watched TV, I was able to see how extremely stupid it is, you actually see the subliminal messages in commercials, amazing!
