When I googled this problem, there are 20 step articles with mutiple cmd lists, switching on and off multiple services, countless instructions and copy/paste 'computer experts' that rarely offer solutions. This was simple and worked... so thanks!

Now the rant. Sharing on windows is so stupid and frustrating. It's like they are doing it on purpose. Why can't be that simple as right click->share and be done with ? Here is the homegroup, no more homegroup get instead 1000 options that do nothing. Why not assume that who is sharing in a big network knows the risks and will take the appropriate steps and leave the casual home user in peace without having to go through a mental breakdown trying to do something that should be so simple.
