Step 1: Make sure your drive/Folder is shared

Step 2: Change Network Security settings
Network Security LAN Manager authentication level.

Step 3: Reset TCP/IP
Select Reliable Multicast Protocol option listed here and then click OK to install the protocol.

Step 4: Enable Network Discovery
Step 5: Check TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper service

In my case the problem was due to the router and any number of Windows config changes would not solve the problem. The router worked fine for internet, pinging, WIFI etc but NOT network access. Rebooting the router was not sufficient. I replaced it with a later version and the problem was solved. I did not try returning the old router to factory setting and reinstalling from this point. No idea why all this happened but I spent hours trying solve it.

Hello Brother, I did as you said an the problem is still here. I have two laptops connected through lan. In each laptop network I can see their folder and able to open and access. But in the other laptop when I try to open. It I showing the error. Kindly do help me with this issue.
