OpenCore Legacy Patcher 0.4.5 Update is live! This update fixes a Bluetooth issue after installing the Monterey 12.4 Update on 2008-2011 Bluetooth 2.1 Macs. In this video I will go over all the changes and fixes in this update. Then I'll walk you through how to update update the app and install the new settings to your hard drive. DISCLAIMER: Please understand that installing macOS Big Sur on your unsupported Mac is a best effort by the community. A ton of work went into getting the patcher to work! Some things might not work exactly right but it's really really close. I would not recommend installing on a system that you rely on for work or school. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES FIRST BEFORE YOU UPGRADE! The good news is that you are getting the latest security fixes from Apple. Some might argue that upgrading to Patched Monterey makes your Mac safer since Apple is no longer fixing security issues on 10.13 and below.

Thanks for your great work! Worked fine on 2 systems so far, but I can´t install Monterey on a MacbookPro8, 1. It boots into the Installer, but after Language Selection it´s just stuck with the mouse cursor, but no further menu. Any ideas? Thanks!

OCPL 0.4.5 also broke the pictogram of type of the current machine(MacBook, etc - iMac pictogram is default): both in Finder sidebar and in Display menu from System Preferences...

I today did this on a 13-inch MacBook Pro 2012. Works great, but the latest firmware update (indicated by Silent Knight) was not installed. What is the recommended way to update firmware, as 12.4 does not support firmware updates on unsupported Macs? Is it needed to install Catalina on an external disk so the latest updater does update the firmware?

Updating to 12.4 cause kernel panic and reboot on my MacPro 5.1 late 2012, the kp was related to the apfs. Had to go back to previous release.

How can I make Apple Maps and Find My work on 2011 iMac? When I open the apps they are just blank with no map.
