Thanks Jessie, you're always so clear, so precise, so "simple" in your explanations: you're simply the best "teacher" for the old-Mac users community!

Thanks Jessie, I updated to OCLP 1.5.0 smoothly, and found my Macs required post drivers to be patched.

One nice thing about the new version is its version number is now in sync with MacOS 14.5. Whether it stays in sync with future MacOS updates remains to be seen.

OCLP 1.5.0 - works fine on my Mac mini 2014 (i7 - 16GB RAM) with Sonoma 14.5 - Great work!

Thanks for your update. Very well explained.Although there is no real need I updated on my IMac 27’ end 2015 flawlessly but on my MBP mid 2015 I always get after restarting my MacBook the error message „ you switched off your computer because of a problem“ restart doesn’t erase this error message. Even not with new installation of patches. The only thing I did was to disable the boot picker option. I may disappear after a while… Grüsse aus Hamburg

Problem solved: Konsole, Diagnoseberichte, sleep wake failure. Message 😅deleted, restart.

As so many people have said, you are really great at guiding people who are generally know what’s happening, but aren’t programmers.

Very thorough and clear 😊

how to boot directly without selecting boot drive? I have 2 partitions now it auto boots to old Monterey unless I hold option key that too stays only 5 seconds.

Using OCLP 1.5.0 fixed Bluetooth not working on old Sonoma version. Now using Sonoma 14.5 on a 2012 Mac Mini. Great update for me.

I have a Mac mini 5.2 high Sierra....I also have a Mac mini 6.2 and a MacBook Pro 2013 both on Sonoma....the problem I face with 5.2 is that when the installation starts after the first reboot I get the message that the assistant cannot update and the procedure stops....I will try to make a usb installer in my second Mac mini and see how it goes..a link to down load the new 1.5.0 package will be appreciated

I think 1.4.5 was failing to work on some mid year older 2010 and 2011 Macs .
I can't be sure about this because I suspect my ssd was also problematic
before I swapped it .

what I did notice however was the new 1.5.0 did act a little different
while creating the usb installer.
In any event, it worked successfully in creating one for my 2011 pro .

I have a macair mid 2013. The installation of opencore was done without any problem. Then I did the sonoma 14.5 update which ran without any problem. However, since the update, there is a problem when I want to make a paste in a program, the program closes instantly!

I have a Mac Pro 5, 1 with Dual CPU (Xeon x5680) and an AMD VEGA56. I installed macOS Sonoma, and the installer and upgrade process ran smoothly. After the installation, I installed the KDK (Kernel Debug Kit) and the Opencore Pre and Root Patches. After rebooting, it started up normally, but after rebooting again, it loads up to 1/3 of the progress bar and then the screen goes black (monitor shows "No Signal").

I can't understand why it works initially and then doesn't. Please help, I need to get this working by tomorrow.

Is it better to choose OS Ventura at the moment or jump straight to Sonoma ? Supposing that the OS should work as flawless as possible on older Macs. Is it also still required with OCLP 1.5.0. to do full installations for all increments of OS Sonoma?

Hello Jessie I have been sitting on the back burner about updating my unsupported iMac 27” and today there is a new Sonoma 14.6 beta update available. Can you please advise me what should I do? Update or ignore this! Thank you😊
