For anyone reading this, I did months of research reading forums and looking at dyno results. I've also worked for a company that sells this same stuff for 11 years. The factory air box has proven to produce more horsepower and torque than any of these aftermarket air boxes. The aftermarket ones are either open, letting hot air to be sucked in, or just simply don't create the right amount of air pressure. The Ford engineers did their job here. All of these intake kits are a waste of money except the larger diameter air intake tube by AirAid. It's the only company that currently makes one. You can also benefit from a high flow drop-in filter such as a K&N filter. But apparently it let's more gunk get in the engine than a dry filter so oil catch cans are recommended. You can probably pick up both for under $200.

Just installed it on mine, it was pretty easy. I don’t notice any performance gains but it is loud and fun for sure. Plan to keep it !

I have the Roush closed lid cold air intake and it works very well with the MAP street intercooler. The stock air box becomes a restriction when you start making 70 or more horse power, the reason is because the air has to make two 90 degree turns inside the air box, those two 90 degree turns create turbulence which is bad for air flow.

Don't get sucked in by the you only need the stock air box crowd, if you do your research you can find cold air intakes that are superior to the stock air box. The Roush closed lid cold air intake is one of the better designs.

That boost gauge is responding really well to the COBB. Excited to put a new air box in my EB.

Does it change the performance of the CAI if I go with black instead of silver. I know black things heat soak more so if I’m trying to get every little bit of performance should I go with silver?

I'd like to see some Ford Ranger parts

none of them make any power and probably lose power? Noted, I'll keep my stock cold air intake.

What’s the exhaust setup on that first mustang

Yeah, you missed the Roush cold air intake, but, it's $400.

Lol. Cold air intake scam. Tell me, what benefit does a turbo engine get from installing a supposed cold air intake? What does that Cold soon to be hot air go through before it reaches the intercooler and throttle body? That’s right, exhaust heated turbos. So again, how does cold air pre turbo benefit a turbo charged engine? You’d be better off installing a high volume intake and an upgraded intercooler and BOV.

FYI. On my 17 2.7 F150 I had a AFE intake, mishimoto intercooler, BBK throttle body, AFE hot and cold side tubing, MSD blaster coils, Borla attak exhaust with various 5 star tunes. I watched my mileage go from about 21 in town to around 17/18 with the factory tune, and even lower with the 87 perf, 93 perf/tow and hitting about 15 mpg with the all out 93 performance tune that increased the boost from 14 psi to 22 psi. So when these rattlesnake salesmen try to tell you that you’ll get better mileage and power over stock with exhaust and “CAI”, you may want to do some research Brie you start dropping $$ only to spend more $$ on fuel for modest gains. I dropped at least 4 or 5 k on my truck, and yes, it did wake it up with the tunes and intercooler and throttle body, but it also made my mileage go down, even after I flashed it back to stock. There’s Always a trade off. Also, when performance goes up, reliability goes down. 22 psi of boost is a lot of boost compared to 14 psi Ford set from the factory. That engine has a lot of blow by as the result of it, that was verified by the amount of it that ended up in my catch can and intercooler every month. Boost goes up, so does blow by, and that shit lowers your octane rating, even with a catch can(it only collects the liquids and not the engine temp vapors that go back into your throttle body). Buyer beware

Feel like that last one was very disappointing.
