🌟 How to Use Retinoids if You Have Sensitive Skin or If You’re a Beginner 🌟

Taking the plunge into retinoids? Here’s how to do it right:

🔸Step 1: Start with an eyelid cream 🧴— this delicate area is prone to irritation, so protect it first.

🔸Step 2: Apply an ointment like Vaseline or Aquaphor around your nose creases, smile lines, and marionette lines. These spots tend to get extra irritated, so let's shield them!

🔸Step 3: Use just a *pea-sized* amount of your retinoid—seriously, that’s all you need! A little goes a long way to cover your whole face.

🔸Step 4: Give it about a minute to dry and absorb before applying your favorite moisturizer. Hydration is key to keeping your skin happy! 💧

For the thing I currently use a squalane oil moisturizer that I got from dermatica and I have skin fixed triple lipid repair and Capri ceramide cream but I have extremely sensitive rosacea prone type 1 mild redness and I haven't been able to tolerate a retinol so I'm trying G&G a game for the first time this weekend I've got my barrier built up but what calming serums and hydrating serum and moisturizer and cleanser would you recommend I have a sandwich and moisturizer from dramatica which I think will be good because it's like a lotion moisturizer and to me I'm moisturizer is like thick and creamy and that's what I use as a moisturizer I saw that skin cuticles has a balm for dry skin I saw that you should use barrier cream for sensitive dry skin and starting a retinoid but then that's contradicted in the literature for every other skin types so do you have any thoughts or recommendations because this is going to be my fifth child my first With something other than traditional retinol but I'm just curious what you would recommend and would the CeraVe healing ointment be good or would you do like an lrp cica balm

She is calling it retinoid but the recommendations are all retinol. Apparently she thinks both are same…
