From Season 2, Episode 10 'Klick' - Jimmy must make a hard choice; Mike takes control of matters; Hamlin delivers shocking news.

Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Think about it. When Jimmy manipulates Chuck, he uses his brother’s hatred of him. When Chuck manipulates Jimmy, he uses his brother’s compassion.

There's no reason a prequel spin-off for "Breaking Bad" should be this amazing.

But here we are.

A twisted, sick move but you can’t deny: Chuck got Jimmy

How wild is it that Charles McGill was the only man that managed to con the biggest conman in history.

Now when I rewatch Breaking Bad, I think of all Saul went through.

I really get why so many people hate Chuck with a passion he tried so desperately to gain any type of sympathy only to immediately turn on his own brother

“You would go to such length to humiliate me?”

Well you did try to Ruin Kim Wexler’s career out of spite.

The awful thing about this is that Chuck manipulates Jimmy's love for him to coerce a confession to a felony, and uses that to try and destroy him.

This for me, is the worse thing chuck ever did to Jimmy.

Jimmy does the wrong thing for good reasons. Chuck does the right thing for bad reasons.

I think people don't really see how smart Jimmy really is. I mean Chuck is known as the smartest lawyer in ABQ, almost like a legend for lawyers. And even though he hated his brother, he never doubts of Jimmy's intelectual capacities and law knowledge. And the only way Chuck tricked him was appealing to JImmys love for his brother. And then Jimmy destroys Chuck in court in S3.

Jimmy really had the potential to be a lawyer as good as Chuck, i mean he passed the bar without any kind of mentoring, and was genuinely trying to do things right. But then Chuck clossed the doors for him. Chuck not only made Jimmy go back to Slippin Jimmy, he pushed him to become Saul Goodman.

looking back on this scene, Jimmy admits to Chuck he told him that to make him feel better. I believe that can be taken as coerced confession.

Today, Chuck and Walt sit together in hell every evening, drinking tea and sharing their memoirs of manipulation.

If Bob Odenkirk doesn't finally get an Emmy and/or Golden Globe for the last season I'm going to riot!! Such a great acting! It's a crime he hasn't won either of them! Neither for Breaking Bad nor Better Call Saul!

Jimmy's expression when he says "I did it for Kim!" Is so perfect.

It's like he's saying "How do you not get it yet? I don't do these things just to hurt people, I do them to help people."

Which Chuck knows full well, setting him up with that line about humiliating him. He just wanted to get his real motive on tape.

This is similar to the twist at the end of S4 of Breaking Bad; where the reveal of one single object completely unravels everything we thought we knew about a certain character and their actions. Such masterful filmmaking and storytelling.

Chuck might be one of the best written villains in a show I've seen in years. Decided to watch this show because of Odenkirks performance in Nobody. Holy hell am I glad I watched this. Best TV in decades

Jimmy tried putting Chuck's ego above his one time. Exactly then he got screwed up the most. Little did he know how much ego Chuck actually had.
