Jon Stewart says the President is attacking journalists' ego

Jon Stewart and Dave Chappelle weighed in on President Trump's attacks on the media and other public figures in an interview with Christiane Amanpour at the Royal Albert Hall.

This is why I miss Jon Stewart. I'm a conservative, and one thing that I miss is that Jon Stewart gave such balanced assessments of politics, calling out the BS where he saw it. He never cut CNN any slack. In fact, I believe it was his outgoing interview before retirement where he called CNN a terrible network. By pointing out the ego of journalists, he's basically called them almost a mirror of Trump. The narcissistic press are insulted by a narcissist insulting their virtue. Interesting outlook.

I am not a supporter of Trump and I am not a liberal or conservative. I don’t see a victim when I look at Trump, I see a bully who lies with no hesitation and I feel like it’s dangerous. As much as I dislike him and everything he stands for, I want to understand the people that support him. I do not want to fight with anyone. I refuse to throw anymore insults your way because that has not gotten us anywhere. I want to have an open and honest conversation about this without the name calling, dismissiveness, etc. I want to understand your point of view. Life is too short for all this hate. I want for everyone to win and I want this country to be great for everyone because the truth is that it’s not right now. How can we make it better? And how can our leaders make it better? When they do bad things should they be held accountable? How much lower are we going to lower the bar of common decency? Please.
