If you have got blue eyes, you might just belong to one of the world’s most exclusive groups. Everyone in the world with blue eyes can trace their lineage back to one person. According to a theory, All blue-eyed people descend from a single human. This human lived around 6,000-10,000 years ago.

Baltic traits - blonde hair and blue eyes, found around the Batlic Sea. The theory in the video means this single blue-eyed person is a shared ancestor, one of a huge amount of ancestors and blue-eyed people today all happen to share this trait. It could be misinterpreted, saying that all blue-eyed people 'descend from' this one person when that is not the case - they are not all direct (paternal or maternal) descendants of this single person.

Did you know that, people with big old iny-belly buttons come from an ancient line of chubby, hubby, husky, plump, heavy, obese, type of people that can be traced to the dawn of man! It's in the genes that are hard to fit into 😂

Actually this is false! Blue eyes is caused by mutations within genetic producing melanin pathways, there are various mutations within these pathways that can result in blue eyes. The color of the eyes are not actually blue, its the refraction of light similar to how the water of the ocean looks blue, but the water is a clear medium that bends light. Light goes in to your eye and bounces of the retina and refracts on the way out, those with more melanin absorb more light, protecting the iris from overexposure. As the refracted light bounces around and gets bent by the liquid in the eye certain colors become more visible than others. Its a spectrum of colors, but everyone has melanin in their eyes some just have more than other and depending on the amount the refracted light producing various colors. But a mutation can occur in any population at anytime time, it does not require a genetic trait to be passed down. Yes, people can be genetically per-disposed to getting blue eyes, I'm not denying that, but it is not true to claim that is the only way for someone to get blue eyes. Mutations occur in all populations all of the time. All albinos are not related, all little people are not related, all giant people are not related, the same is true with everyone who has blue eyes.

How do you explain the first blue eyed Human Being? Then if this occurs through a genetic event unique without someone prior having had blue eyes in their line, safe to say the same exact event can have occured in multiple lines at multiple illusionary points in time, and space.

"Out of Africa" is a myth...The recessive Blue eyes are all connected to 1 from the Black Sea, supposed to be bred out by now yet we still have green, violet and amber/gold which are even rarer these mutations are found in all skin tones.

This isn't a theory or even a hypothesis but is it surprising that people with inherited traits are related?🎉😅

I started to feel blue eyes being very basic and common..unless one have a beautiful eye shape, the colour of eyes can't enhance its look
I find these hazel, aqua green and grey to be very beautiful
Hazel eyes .i have hazel eyes that has greenish tint.. but grey takes the crown..most beautiful eye colour so far

Blue eyes don't possess superpowers; I don't see any reasonable research here. If people have Browns, red, blue, green, and purple eyes, then what?

Somewhere i had read most blue eyed people actually have brown eyes, but something in the eyes only let the color blue escape. Which makes them look blue.
