I have blue eyes and what you said is true when we had a hurricane and the power went out I was able to see really well with out using any flash lights but my Dad and one brother who both have brown eyes couldn't see anything without using a flashlight I've also noticed this with friends who had brown and blue eyes when we use to go cave exploring my and my friends that had Blue eyes didn't need any flashlights in order to get around yet my brown eye friends needed a flashlight in order to see in dark spaces.

My eyes are green and I can see very well in the light but not in the dark, my husband has brown eyes and struggles with overly sunny days but his sight in the dark is far better than mine.

This is defiantly a Mandela Effect. I know for a fact this never existed in my reality because I came up with this exact theory about eye colour and light.
I had learnt when I was younger that there wasn't any significance with eye colour and sight but a few years ago was thinking about it and had noticed people with blue eyes seemed to be more dependant on sunglasses and would also wear them when it was too dark for me to. And when you consider skin melanin genetics are determined by different climate regions it was just obviously apparent to me that melanin levels in eye gave different sensitivities to light.
But when I went to research it I was surprised to learn that while it was something that was often wondered about, the science on it said there was no correlation.
Has to be a Mandela Effect.

For me my dad has blue outlines on his eyes and my mom has brown outlines.
So my eyes have greenish bluewish outlines and my sister has brown outlines
(My whole family was born with brown eyes)
