Bruce was so far ahead of his time as far as functional strength training for athletes. That’s how he created so much short range power, explosiveness, and speed

Great piece. Y'all also covered a lot of positive aspects of isometric training. For me personally it's more than half of my training. I respond well to it and it builds super strength. It's how the old time strong man used to build their strength. It's even good for older people that have had injuries and is a great way for them to build and keep strength,

I made my own for about 200 bucks at home depot! works amazing! also something I love about isometrics is that they are quick and can be done daily

Isometrics produce staggering strength gains rapidly, i cant believe so many athletes wont program them. Most athletes can only use 50% of their available motor units and 5-15% of the fast twitch muscle fibers cant be activated even with max effort lifts. Movement represents a relief of connective tissue tension.

Don't forget that isometrics demand a very high mental strength too, that might be a reason why it's not popular because it pushes the mind SO MUCH

Yoo. Loved the video! I’m actually affiliated with DragonDoor and the Isochain. My whole channel is about it. Was wondering if I could take this video and use snippets of it for some upcoming videos?😁
Also yes the Isochain his heavily underrated!

Hey much appreciated content this is something I've been curious about also.

For me, it turns on the central nervous system and recruits more muscle fibers. Not necessarily making you stronger but triggering a higher percentage of fibers to handle the load.

Can you do a video over different exercises that people can do at a park with some dumbbells and resistance bands? Thanks!

Edit: For a leg day, back and chest day, and shoulders, core, and calves day?

The reason why you haven't heard of it, is because the fitness industry and gyms don't talk about it? 🤔

But everyone on reddit says they really don't do much of anything
