Your troubleshooting steps are pretty much what I use in an industrial maintenance position. In fact, it was tinkering and working on my first 3D printer, an Anet A8, that inspired me to learn more about how machines work and pursue a degree in mechatronics technology which led to me now being an industrial maintenance technician.

In his interview with CNC Kitchen, the CEO of Bambu Lab Dr Tao said that they made the special transparent versions while the injection moulds were brand-new, before they got "punished", which I think means the brand-new moulds are necessary to get a good surface finish for the transparency.
He also said that transparent plastics are more brittle, which is tricky for a 3D printer because the plastic has to withstand a certain amount of stress.

Retro translucent cases (especially in purple) need to make a comeback

Nicely done, and an excellent video! I like that instead of focusing on the OPTICS, you communicated your steps and thought processes in a CRYSTAL CLEAR manner.

Your macro shots of the assembly are fantastic, nicely done!

You are really onto something Joel, interesting how the preproduction models had the transparent case. I always was fascinated by clear cases, mostly because it was interesting to see the insides of the (video game console, or whatever) but having a proper view of what you are doing on the inside while navigating a repair is absolutely a step in the right direction!

You, sir, are hands down the best teacher of 3D printing I've come across on YouTube. Seriously. You have a unique way of presenting detailed information in an interesting and enjoyable manner. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I'm glad the thumbnail for this video is a thumbnail. Nice to see a fix for that in case someone else has the issue.

You could use a small syringe (like those used by diabetics) to apply the lubricant to the spring without removing the spring (and possibly of loosing it). I’ve done this several times before and it works

For those worried about putting this back together, I would recommend trying to put some of that lube/grease on something like a toothpick and schmo it against the side.
-The amount of grease put on there is probably not more than what you apply with your fingers when you swap out the filament spools.

A clear cut case of excellent troubleshooting and repair.

This was exactly my problem. Bambulab support wanted to send me new sensor but because of your video I fixed issue by cleaning mechanism. Big thanks!

Luckily I found this video. I thought my sensor was bad, so I received a replacement part. After swapping it out, it still didn't work.
Then I followed the steps in this video, using the grease that Bambu supplies you with, and now it works.

Very helpfull. Thanks.

clear cases need to come back in general being able to see internals is so cool

I just spent 10 hours trying to replace my A1 mini extruder because I thought that was the problem, but after seeing this I'm sure this is it. Thanks. By the way I couldn't find anywhere with a video on replacing the extruder and with the screws being hidden and have to pull off the back plate to access the board I was scared to death I was doing it wrong. You do such a great job explaining I think it would be helpful if you could find the time to make one.

I had the same issue with my X1 carbon actually and it appears that they are using the exact same metal lever in there. A quick shave of the plastic around it prevented it from getting stuck again.

Awesome, very pellucid! I'm so glad you were able to clear the problem.

I think this is a great showcase in the art of troubleshooting. There will be cases when there isn't a blog post or youtube video to help you figure out what's wrong. If you learn how to think critically about how things work, you can troubleshoot without the need to go online. Good stuff.

I love a good troubleshooting episode!

It's helpful to see how to break down a problem and it's a good reminder that this hobby isn't always "press button get thing".
