I'd love some ideas on great books to read about Reconstruction. I was rewatching your "Teaching as if black lives matter" video today, and I'm about to teach the civil war and then obviously reconstruction. Even in your video, you mentioned that people tend to gloss over it, and I'm looking for recommendations. I'm looking for both adult and YA, as I love to assign my kids historical fiction, so any tips would be appreciated! Thanks!! And thanks for all the info you share with others! I added several of these to my library and/or amazon lists!
