Hi! I'm 23 years old and I've been studying computer science. I used to read a lot when I was in school but then somehow stopped. But it always bothered me that now I don't read much. I always took the excuse that now I simply don't have the time to read. And then last year I came across your channel and learned that someone at Harvard, who's also pursuing computer science and getting a good GPA can read 1 book every week! That really hit me hard. It made me stop making excusing and I've actively started investing my time in reading this year. Just finished the 2nd book today. Thank you for sharing your reading journey. It's very inspiring.

Reading a lot of books really helps with problem-solving and what's interesting, your brain has a way of sorting and combining information and ideas you've read to come up with new innovative ways to approach problems and solve them. I've had many eureka moments over the years because of reading a myriad of books.

Inspired by you, I've started my challenge aka "a book a week all in English" from the beginning of the year 2020. Being a non-native speaker of English, it was tough at times but I have finished up 32 books (CW20, so outpacing the original plan) so far as of May 12th. As you said, this challenge has made more and more as I have gone more miles and it has been an amazing journey. Looking at about 80 books by the end of this year. Thank you for the great inspiration. Respect from Japan.
