Actually, the standing in the middle against 4 opponents is very doable if you have the necessary skill. Just last week I accomplished this in a fight, not moving from my spot and taking out all 4 opponents. Of course, they were kindergartners and I was trespassing in a school, but that makes no difference. Even little little kids these days are very vicious.

Hollywood is determined to not show what really works against multiple attackers. Thankfully they dont do the "surround the hero and attack him one at a time" anymore. What they do now is, and you can see it in the Defenders tv show or the Star Wars Last Jedi if you pause and watch the fight frame by frame, technically the bad guys do technically attack the hero at the same time. By having one attacking at normal speed, while the other does this ridicilously slow, telegraphed, spinning punch/kick/sword attack, so the hero can block it and deal with him, LONG after he has dealt with the first henchman.

my opinion....well i think it is not good to learn to people actions that is 100% fail.many today especially agressive people know martial arts.boxing, krav maga, mma and many others.ip man movie like many movies its a fantasy movie that many people earn money.and something else....if you move like robot you are dead....becose in combat you must keep your distances if you want to live.to fight with many people you need space.you need speed, and you must know what is a fight .the most important for me is if i come to be someones student i will fight with this sifu with 3 others to a real streetfight.or else is just loose my time.
