Just realized this, but half the Vaults in Fallout end up in some sort of revolt or mutiny.

Just had a thought... there must be a vault to supervise the other vaults - there would be no sense in making all these experiments if they didn't think they could collect the data during or at least afterwards.

What a weird move from the overseer "we're all going to starve and die in here! What do you mean we could go outside and have a chance of survival? No, we should just die and not do anything about this, if we go outside we might die but thankfully if we stay here we'll only definitely die"

A cool fan theory is that the secret experiment of the vault was testing how long it would take for a community to resort to cannibalism.

The vault was sealed with a limited food supply and was scheduled to reopen much too early for radiation levels to be safe. However, the staff had plenty of frozen meat in reserve.

I have a theory after looking at the terminals in the vault, you can see that your cryopod was opened remotely, if its capable to open the pods remotely maybe vault tecs actual plan was to start remotely opening the pods and seeing what people would do if they started waking up out of cryo unexpectedly. As the plan for the vault tech team stationed in 111 was to wait for the all clear, but it never came because the vault officials never made it

I think the sole survivor being released from vault 111 is because Shaun wanted to meet his remaining parent before he died.

I have theory that a second secert test was to see if the vault staff were willing to kill some of the people in cryo pods to be able have a chance of being woke up later

The way its worded implies that there is also a vault which tested cryogenics on willing participants

Do you think the theory that the sole survivor is a synth is true. He is the only one that survived the vault freezing and has vats which is mentioned in the institute terminals. But all 3d games has vats and that’s unlikely. What do you think

Makes me wonder if theres some uber vault somewhere with the vault tech board in stasis waiting to take advantage of the results of all these experiments
