I always felt like Eloise was kind of self-centered in their friendship, often being blind to the pain of Penelope. I hope that when their friendship is repaired in season three, Eloise will kind of be able to see that. I’ve heard that it doesn’t ever become fully repaired in the books, and I think that’s unfortunate, this really could’ve served as a beautiful friendship. But as I’ve never read all the books, I can’t really say for sure.
