Got to say, season 19 was actually a surprising season. It was enjoyable, none of the episodes were too boring or over the top.

To everyone wondering what she did: it's a suicide joke, she can't be left alone because she attempted suicide or at least showed enough signs to warrant this kind of supervision.

You don't get put under observation (by family) for sex offense, but you do for suicide attempts. And since Stewie mentioned the legality of it, probably court mandated. Else I don't see her family caring enough.

My thoughts on it immediately got dark. As someone who's been hospitalized for ah, attempts, they'll typically tell underage patients that their parents have to keep a close eye on them, even after they get home. It could be pretty likely that Meg had an episode and needed to be hospitalized for it.
