Sinister7 50K on Saturday. I've been putting in good volume since last year and can't wait to see the result!

Thanks for the video. I am strugling a few years now to break the 54:00, coming from 01h10... ofcourse need to work on my weight, at +100kg's is not common to run 5:00/km :) Cheers!

Good tips. Personally, VARIETY is the biggest factor that helps me stay CONSISTENT. I don't follow a rigid training plan, I just make sure to keep my mileage up each week for about 2-3 weeks, then give myself 1 week of lower mileage for recovery. And in terms of variety, I make sure I run at different locations, different paces, different times of the day, and sign up for a variety of races (road and trail) that keep my engaged. In this way, my running stays fresh and I don't get bored or unmotivated.

Why is the biggest reason. For my health, family and quality of life. The stairs don't tire me out like they used to. Never want to feel like that again.

I’m going to start integrating double days on my next training block

42 min is amazing, I’ve been struggling for a year or more to get below the hour. A 25 min 5k does not translate to 50min 10k
