Pre-trib or Post-trib? This Is What The Bible Teaches! - Kent Hovind

The question about pre-tribulation or post-tribulation is not a salvation issue, nevertheless it's important to know what the Bible really says about it.

Watch when Kent Hovind digs into the issue and teaches us straight from the Bible. As many others Kent Hovind used to think that Jesus would come before the tribulation but that is not what the Bible teaches. Jesus is very clear on the issue.

The word rapture can't be found in the Bible but it normally refers to the day when Christ will come back to take His bride, something that very often is referred to as "The Day of Christ" in the Bible.

Please view the video to get all the details. Bible verses from the video can be found below as usual.

Daniel 8:11

"Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down."

Daniel 9:27

"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

Daniel 11:31

"And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate."

Daniel 12:11

"And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days."

Matthew 24:15

"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)"

Mark 13:14

Luke 21:20

"And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh."

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3

"1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

Matthew 24:3

"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?"

Mark 13:4

"Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?"

I think the most important thing is your salvation and how you live your life. Just like the parable of the 10 virgins....stay ready and true to God and it won't matter! Also save as many souls as you possibly can! Stay true to God because IF any of us are killed, Paul tells us to be dead is to be instantly with our Lord!

I appreciate you taking the time to present this sir. Reading through the bible I always considered it very clear on timing. Most preachers I have known teach pre trib, but I have never seen scriptural evidence on early rapture. I appreciate how you brought evidence together for us. Please dont be disheartened my friends if you are pre trib because this is not an issue that should be allowed to divide us. One final point to reader:, remember that Noah and his were lifted up RIGHT DURING DESTRUCTION, not years before. Remember also Lot and his were rescued RIGHT AS sodom Gomorah are being destroyed, not years before. These events are compared to Christ's return. These facts were important to me with helping to understand timing also:)

I have to believe that we will be made to go through the tribulation because scripture says believers will be alive during that time and that we must endure to the end. Scripture states that, that those who do not worship the beast (believers of Christ) or receive his mark in their forehead or hand will be put to death, will not be able to buy or sell (starve, homeless, jobless etc). Also Scripture tells us when Jesus is coming back. It says in Matthew 24:29-30 that it will be immediately after the tribulation that Jesus is coming back. It never says that he is coming before the tribulation and we won't have to suffer.

In 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17, it says "For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. So isn't this saying that after the tribulation, when Christ immediately returns, that those dead in Christ will rise first and that those people who are still alive and have endured to the end of the 1, 335 days (spoken of by Daniel) will rise to the Lord ? For those that believe in the pre-tribulation, I respect your beliefs; however, I am just a little confused, because, scripture says "we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord" Which coming is this talking about, because I only found one verse which states when Christ is coming back and that is immediately after the tribulation. It does not say he is coming back twice, that is why we must be as the virgins with oil and be prepared and keep watch. For as with Noah, when Christ comes and his door is shut, he isn't going to open it again. In Agape my brothers and sisters.

I personally believe in the post tribulation. This guy sends me s message saying I'm not saved for believing what I believe. Sad so many are quick to judge your salvation. Blessings to you.

brother Hovind, a question: if "the day of Christ" in 2Thessalonians 2 refers to the rapture, why were the believers in Thessalonica troubled about it, shouldn't that be a comfort to them?

Brother, the Bride of Christ is not appointed to WRATH. The Church is out of here before the last week of Daniel's prophecy starts. I guess you can stay if you want to. Soon we will find out, one way or another.

Thank you for this wonderful message. This is exactly what the Holy Spirit has revealed to me lately. I been up against people with 30-50 years of Bible knowledge. I'm just a college dropout. Very little Bible study and weak in knowledge until NOW!

PreTrib Rapture?
How much of what we believe comes from Biblical facts? How much derives from what is going on in our intellect?
How much comes from the heart? How much comes from emotional issues of fear vs. faith, and the issue of our personal devotion?

Yes, the devotional issue?
How about the strange thing that happened at midnight, towards the end of the voyage of the Apostle Paul?
Yes, what happened during the shipwreck on the island of Malta?
And what does that issue of devotion to ”stay with the ship!” mean for us?

The rapture issue is really a simple matter that many people have greatly complicated over the years. How can it be simple? There are only 2 main scriptures you need to know. These are 1. Mt. 13:24-30 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed ears, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, `Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “`An enemy did this, ’ he replied. “The servants asked him, `Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “`No, ’ he answered, `because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’“

The 1st clue is "Let both grow together until the harvest." When you know when that time is you will have the answer. Does the Bible tell us when the harvest will be? Yes. Where in scripture is it? 2. The book of Revelation chapter 14; Re. 14:14-20 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one “like a son of man” with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested. Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, “Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth’s vine, because its grapes are ripe.” The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God’s wrath. They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses’ bridles for a distance of 1, 600 stadia. [That is, about 180 miles (about 300 kilometres)]

The scripture in Matthew is a parable which is a story Jesus told to make a point. Every parable has truth in it even though some of the scenarios may not actually have happened exactly as described. So an explanation is needed.

Mt. 13:10-17 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” He replied, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “`You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ [Isaiah 6:9, 10] But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it".

What about all the other scriptures about the rapture? Some are legitimate and some have nothing to do with it. This agrees with all the legitimate NT scriptures. I'll reference some here if you want to do further study: Mt. 24:30-31, I Th. 5:1-11, II Th. 2:1-12, I Co. 15:51-58.

Just want you do know that (as I have been studying this and watching teacher after teacher teach on this) .... I discovered that the word (for sacrifice) is Missing from the Hebrew Text in
Dan. 8:11, 12, 13, 11:31; and 12:11. Suggesting to me (and others) that THAT particular added word may Not supposed to be there??? If you remove it, then it says that:
"And from the time that the daily (or regular, or Continual or the Normal) is taken away (which it was under the covid Lockdown) until the abomination of desolation is set up there will be 1290 days." ...
So IF this is correct, then the 1290 day countdown to the abomination started on (or about) Mar. 13th, 2020 and will end on or about 9.23.23. IF so, then the Rapture will happen 45 days later on or about Nov. 6th of this year?

But Jesus told his 11 disciples "go not unto the Gentiles" and instructed them to only go unto the Jews. Because He knew that with His death and resurrection, would usher in the Dispensation of Grace AND that he'd be sending Paul out to be the apostle to the Gentiles... isn't this why the Bible tells us to learn to rightly divide? Revelation doesn't talk about the body of Christ being on earth during the Tribulation...💁?

I want to address what Kent said about eternal security for the man who was sleeping with his father’s wife. Begin at 21:21to hear.
We never isolate one verse to create a belief system. The church was directed to deliver the man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh so that his spirit may be saved. This does not mean that he was instantaneously killed and went to heaven. The destruction could be any kind of bodily illness or ailment that the man would have understood was a direct result of his sin so that he MAY be saved, therefore giving him OPPORTUNITY to repent.
We are plainly told in other scriptures to not be deceived about practicing sin because these people do not inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9, 15:33, Galatians 6:7. There is no such thing as eternal security for those who want to live like the world. And if anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. 1 John 2:15. Jesus said to the church in Sardis in Revelation 3:4 that there were a few who had not defiled their garments and they would walk with him in white because they were worthy. Yes we can defile ourselves with our thoughts and actions. In v.5 he says that those who overcome he will not blot out his name from the book of life. Yes, your name can be removed. And to the church in Laodicea he said that because they were only lukewarm he would vomit them out of his mouth v. 16 We must choose to follow him wholeheartedly or get out. No middle ground.
And finally, the love of God must be balanced with the holiness of God. Paul said knowing the terror of the Lord we persuade men. 2 corinthians 5:11. And, Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, IF you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. Romans 11:22
Scripture can be very blunt and plain, it is the preachers who have not adequately warned the people.
Eternal destruction in hell for eternity would be an example of the terror of the Lord and his severity.
Please do not be deceived. 🙏♥️🙏

Dr. Hovind, who do you think are the two witnesses are that are spoken of in the book of Revelations? Enoch and Elijah? Moses and Elijah or the Messanic Jewish converts and Christians during that time? I believe it to be Moses and Elijah and can provide evidence in scripture, but I was curious as to who you think those two witnesses are.
