Toyota has been good to me lately and has either sent me or has scheduled to send me every TRD-Pro vehicle in their fleet. In this video we review how the Tacoma TRD-Pro does on road and with a trailer behind it.

Engine Adventures strives to explore and test the AWD and 4WD systems of all crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks. To do this we test vehicles in real world environments in a way that allows viewers to cross shop and explore any vehicle they may be interested in learning about.

Would the 4.0 gen 2 Tacoma be a better option to tow same size trailer?

the torque is plenty. Older trucks with less torque have towed more. The real problem is the gear ratio as its a 3.90. Thankfully there are 4.88 and 5.29 gears avalible if you tow a lot.

That snorkel is for submersion but yet theres a “hood scoop”?? Looks like the “hood scoop” is sucking up water....

Aside from the towing capacity, which did you like better the 2020 Tacoma TRD PRO or the FORD F250 7.3 4X4?

What brake controller are you using an wher did you mount it? Cool truck, regret not buying a 4x4 for my Off Road 2018.

Late comment but I have the 2020 trd off road AT with tow package. The weird thing is has no transmission cooler.

Man love the ride... Your insight is very appreciated. Yet allot of trailer. A 7ft wide Micro Winnebago or 7.6 wide trailer with a dry weight max 3800lbs would had been a far better choice. . Narrow trailers help you with wind drag and efficiency. The Rockwood is an overkill and 8ft wide... Yet I'm impressed.
