The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter (US$62,900 starting in the US, CAD$82,950) is a brand new trim for the Tacoma lineup, and comes with the 326 horsepower, 465 lb ft hybrid i-FORCE MAX engine. With a focus on overlanding, the Trailhunter is equipped with forged monotube shocks from Old Man Emu, a disconnectable front stabilizer bar, 33 inch tires and an intake relocated to the passenger’s A-pillar. $80-90k (CAD) for a small (even big) p/u truck is insane. People should not forget that in Canada you pay an extra 12-13% in taxes (Alberta only GST of 5%).
These should not cost more than $50k all in. Then on top of it you also pay $2, 000-3, 000 per year for gas.
But it does look cool.
