"You need to look where you haven't looked for what you don't have." Sage advice.

"Jordan can you pass the salt please?"

"But that's Genesis! It's the revelation of the embodiment of Christ and the soul in our actions. It's like asking for salt but really you yearn for the taste. It's not that you need salt, but you perceive it as a metaphor for the enrichment that comes from suffering."

*"Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."*

I learn more from him in 15 minutes than I do from others in years

I really like how he admitted that he is somewhat afraid when making the initial connection with new people. It makes me feel like the great Jordan Peterson is as human as I am, and conversely, and maybe more powerfully, it means that perhaps *I AM AS HUMAN AS JORDAN PETERSON.*

"Better it's you. 'Cause you're not gonna change the rest of the world"
Damn straight.

I hope these videos are still here in 20 years, so that I can remind myself of these things as I go along. I'm forgetful. I wasn't blessed with the higher level of thinking exhibited by Mr. Peterson, but I know enough to understand that much of what he says is right.

This was really enlightening for me.
I'm very closed up when it comes to strangers. My view has always been not to trust ppl. But now I realize trusting in people is an act of courage

4:10 reminds me of the japanese greeting, DOUZO YOROSHIKU ONEGAISHIMASU, which literally means "i present myself to you, entreating your favor and kindness"

"...Better it's you, because you're not going to change the rest of the world." Truer words have never been spoken.

10:30 that last piece of advice he gives, a LOT of people could learn from that. If you keep having the exact same experience with every friend or lover you ever meet, after a while, you have to consider the possibility that maybe YOU are the common denominator. It's hard to change something about yourself, but it's impossible to change the world.

I truly want to hear Peterson's take on this:

"How to approach and treat homeless people"

(Thumbs up to promote)

Better it's you, because you're not going to change the world. Never thought I'd hear someone extemporaneously top "when the world's wrong, right yourself."

"They look at the rejection and they think, the hell with humanity."

He just described Columbine.
