POSTERIOR BAND HIP DISTRACTION

If you want to increase your hip mobility for improved performance or less pain, know that using different banded hip mobilization techniques can be incredibly helpful.
There are a number of different ways to set up a band to help with reaching different directions of motion.
How does it work❓
Band distraction joint mobilizations assist with the way our bones glide over each other.
The goal here is to improve hip capsule and connective tissue mobility and alleviate any pain or pinching sensations deep in the joint.
👉 Start on all-fours.
Put the mobility band as close as you can to the hip joint.
While the resistance band is perpendicular to the body line, start rocking forward and back.
You can also explore the option of rotating the hip externally and internally.
After completing this drill, repeat the limited or painful movement in the same range of motion and see if you feel any improvement.
