INGREDIENTS IN THIS DISH:

500g Beef Mince (Ground Beef)
1 Small Brown Onion (chopped)
2 Cloves of Crushed Garlic (about 2 Teaspoons)
Small Amount of Olive Oil
1 Cup of Frozen Mixed Vegetables
1/2 Cup of Boiling Water
Pepper
35g Packet of Taco Seasoning
1 Tablespoon of Soy Sauce
200g of Corn Chips
1 Cup of Grated Cheddar Cheese

Preparation Time: About 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 20 minutes

SERVES 4 - 6

I found this recipe to be quite tasty, but I tweaked it a bit. Instead of adding soy sauce after the onions, garlic, and meat is cooked, I added the soy sauce as I added the onions and garlic. I found it "absorbs" more into the meat that way. Just brings out the flavors a tad more, in my opinion. Great dish!

@PytoX Corn Chips are the traditional ingredient, but you could try this with other kinds of chips if you like ;)

one question--dont nachos (the lower level) get soaked with juices of meat and vegetables while in oven? doesnt that make them kinda ..not crispy?

Actually in my Mexican household we do use soy sauce! So it is not so weird to see it on meat 👍🏻

It reminds me of this dish my mom used to make when we were kids we dubbed Jail bait, except there elbow macaroni, side note it wasn’t one our favorite dishes, he should have left out the peas and carrots
