Dealing with Hyper Dispensationalism

Pete Garcia, Mondo Gonzales, and I are going to talk on the subject of Hyper Dispensationalism and how the phrase “rightly dividing” has been hijacked and used for error. Here’s the bottom line folks… there is ONLY ONE GOSPEL. What Jesus did on the cross is ENOUGH and no one EVER will earn even part of their salvation by a work of their own (no matter what dispensation).

I had a excellent teacher share this with me once. “ If a guy believes in NO DISPENSATIONS, then he calls anyone who does a "Hyper-Dispensationalist."
If a guy believe in only a few dispensations, and he sees anyone who beleives in more than he does, then he labels him a "Hyper-Dispensationalist."
But a guy is rightly dividing and believes correctly in dispensations, but sees someone who OVERLY DIVIDES, then he labels THEM a "Hyper-Dispensationalist."

So, that word is really tossed around a lot.”

Thank you for bringing this forward for people because Christians often forget there is years spanning between now from then. progressive dispensationalism is in how each views the relationship of the present dispensation to the past and future dispensations. If people are viewing a certain scripture in the Bible may not reflect the same message because it was transcending of Old Testimonial and New Testimonial which is reasons of why God knew he needed to bring Jesus to help people have a better understanding of God since the Roman's have tried to discredit God.

As Les Feldick says: in every dispensation we are saved by faith… and what is faith? Faith is taking God at His Word.

I dearly love you all… but I can not agree with how you’ve defined “hyper-dispensationalism” because it’s contrary to the plain language of scripture. Paul did preach a different message of a new dispensation… not a different gospel (which is not another - Galatians chapters 1 and 2 and many other examples in Paul’s writing), but definitely a different message because he had been given a specific- and different - purpose and audience.

I do agree that taking only Paul’s epistles as “for us today” is hyper-dispensationalist and an error … that being said, it’s clearly stated that the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ himself instructed Paul specifically in what the church-age believers need to know, need to leave behind, and need not bother with. Peter James and John never claim to be writing specifically for that purpose but Paul’s writing is full of that language. I personally don’t see what the big deal is about recognizing that. Galatians 2:7-10 plainly states this to be true.

God’s Word is alive, powerful, able to transform our minds, steady our hearts, and rightly divide ITSELF. God is not the author of confusion; He is I AM so therefore His Word is of His consistent and perfect and orderly nature… He gives wisdom to all of us when we ask, because He knows we lack wisdom and can only receive it as a gift from His Spirit.

God bless us all in these last days… I pray, we would all come to him in prayer like never before… I am so thankful for the gift of the Bible, because it is the only solidity to be found, the only Truth in a realm of deception. I am so thankful for the body of Christ… We truly need each other, I pray we will recognize our responsibility to God and each other. I pray, Lord God, that your Word will continue to open up more and more clearly for all of us… So that we will be equipped to withstand this spiritual battle, that we will be able to stand strong, clothed in Your armor and the righteousness of Jesus Christ, keeping our eyes on You as you are quickly approaching to bring us to where You are!
