I'm diving more into gnostic teachings and i can very easily say I've found more comfort, guidance and answers than i have from more orthodox or "canonical" texts.
those who are more knowledgeable should be able to teach, no matter who they are. i love this gospel and hope to one day see it completely found

the belief that mary and jesus were lovers comes from other gospels that are not in the bible, like the gospel of levi and thomas, where she is refer to as companion. also because back then in jesus time, the people to clean the body after death would be the mother or wife, so because mary magdalene would often go and clean the body, and also see him resurect, many scholars belive she was his wife.

Those videos are truly riveting. They just show how what is taught in churches today is only a handful of handpicked texts chosen by a handful of people specifically to follow sole chosen teachings.

I've always heard that the gospel of Mary proved Jesus and Mary were married. I never bothered to research it myself because I just assumed it was a late fabrication to begin with. But its cool to see the research you have done that shows that the Gospel of Mary doesn't explicitly say they were lovers. Great video! I learned a lot!

So.thing tells me that Mary Magdalene was not mentioned in the Bible because of Peter.
Mary Magdalene was the closest to Jesus and perhaps that made Peter bitterly jealous they were all still human after all so they still had human emotions both positive and negative.

Make them “Males” simply means to be married. When you get married the pastor says at the end of the ceremony Mr. & Mrs. “Bob Smith”. This is related to the ONE flesh language in Genesis…
