Lol…when I was dating my husband my girl Roomate walked in the kitchen when I was literally making him a sandwich and said “ew, why are you doing that?” 20 yrs later happily married and she has been married and divorced inside 2 years. I lost my husband a little over a year ago. My husband was a man's man (men wanted to be like him and women loved him). Nothing in this world gave me more joy than to watch him eat something I created for him. He was always appreciative to me for the love I put into his meals. And he was always showing me his love by brushing my hair, rubbing my feet. I miss holding his hand while we watched TV. Love them while they're here; it helps ease the pain when they're gone.

My husband grew up with a mom who couldn’t cook, so he took it upon himself to learn and he’s the best cook. I take out the garbage and clean the cat boxes….oh and take care of any creepy crawlers lol. You don’t have to be or not have to be in traditional rolls to be a traditional family. Do what works for your family but share responsibilities.
