Never smoked a day in my life, haven’t had cable in years, we use Airbnb every time we travel, went to community college, and in 2019 we bought a brita filter and stopped buying bottled water. Looks like I’m all set for 2020.

I remember in high school I used to get jealous when someone got into a "good college". Now looking back, I'm glad I wasn't one of those people paying super high tuition. For the money you would spend to go to a university, there's so many other things you can do with it that will make you money. I look at it now as why should people spend 100K+ for a 4 year university just to come out and get a job that makes something like 50k-100k a year or even less. The worst part is that you're still working a job, not owning your own business making passive income. I found community college to be the best option for those who care about money because it cost less and gives you time to think about whether you really want/need to go to a university.

Rememeber that YOU are the most important person in YOUR world. Don't envy other people. Don't compare yourself to them. You can appreciate and respect them. But don't demean yourself because they have something you don't. Love yourself. You will be spending the most amount of time with yourself. Not anyone else.

In the last 5 months of being jobless I’ve gone to YouTube to help me cook meals on a budget. It’s saved me a ton of money.

Our first experience with airbnb was a bad one. Found a super nice looking airbnb, paid for it, and when we got there (to Atlanta) the place looked NOTHING like the photos on airbnb. We took pics of damaged walls, broken base boards, brownish stuff smeared on the bathroom ceiling, stains on the couches, hazardous roach killing product and 5 gallon paint was on the floor in an open closet within my kids reach...etc etc. Just a complete disaster!

Long story short, ended up filing a complaint with airbnb that night. After they saw our pics of proof, airbnb fully reimbursed us AND payed for our first night in the hotel of our choice that we ended up checking into that night (Sheraton Atlanta). This was November 2019 btw.

Will we give airbnb a 2nd chance? Maybe, not sure. It was such a headache to drive over 9hrs from south FL to GA with 2 little ones, only to be caught by surprise that our place wasn't legit. And I need to add, the owner was a "superhost". We are glad, however, that Airbnb took care of the situation VERY quickly, and we got reimbursed and some, that same evening, or next day, can't remember. So I give them credit for that.

But idk, I'd rather just book a hotel or resort and know exactly what I'm getting, plus the luxury of room service and the feeling of our beds made when we walk into our room is...not necessary, but you have to admit, it's pretty awesome.

But we get your point Ryan. Just wanted to share our first airbnb experience. Glad you haven't had to go through what we did. Especially with kids late at night in a new town. Not fun. I'd gladly pay more for the hotel experience for now.
