I sub out roofing work to a crew from El Salvador. Great guys. I once spent the day with them just helping out. I asked the crew leader what he does with all his money. He said he sends all his extra money to gangs in El Salvador so they won’t hurt his family. I just felt sick hearing that. He said if you live in El Salvador & the gangs find out you have a family member living in the USA, it’s basically open season for extortion & murder. He said sometimes they will start with a murder to get your attention.
