Rare look inside El Salvador's mega prison

Telemundo cameras captured an inside look at a controversial mega prison in El Salvador, which is the largest in Latin America. The prison houses thousands of gang members, some of which were arrested after the country’s president declared a war on crime. Amid the rise in massive arrests and mass trials, NBC News' Guad Venegas reports that critics are concerned that some prisoners have been unjustly detained without due process.

Went to El Salvador last summer, felt safe every where and spoke to a lot of people there and they all love the president and the new life in El Salvador.

Its lovely how journalists talk about human rights when it comes to hardened criminals being taken off the streets, but when innocent people are being massacred by gang violence it's radio silence. Truly shows the kind of people they are.
