I manage and control the information people have about me. Even my family doesn't truly know me. My co-workers each have a version of me, but not the reality. The reason it works to use versions is that when someone tries to gossip, you know who it was by what version you get back, and who it came through by the variations. (Social engineering is a hobby.)

I treat work as if I'm a mercenary paid to go on missions. I care about the work until the mission is over and then I get on with life. Outside of work, I generally don't think about work, or the people in work.

Glad I seen this. I was pure pressure to give a co-worker a ride home twice & I didn’t feel comfortable doing it, but she kept begging that she really needed a ride so I gave it to her, & I tried running to my car the second time to avoid it, but another co worker was like “Don’t leave her here by herself without giving her a ride home” like thats supposed to be my fucking problem . I’m 18 about to be 19 in a month, & she’s 50 years old (And a manager) and I can’t believe she would pressure A 18 year old who recently completed high school to do such a big task like that & I felt like what I did was dangerous & not safe . I don’t work there no more & I Quit that job 4 months ago .

I like keeping "professional distance" at work. I really view my coworkers as "chess pieces" and not as actual human beings. It's all just a "game" where everybody is out to get you. Coworkers will stab you in the back at any given moment if it monetarily suits them. They're are just inanimate objects to me now. To me, coworkers are like pieces of furniture at the store as I casually walk on by. THAT'S how I view my coworkers. Just cold, barren and lifeless objects who I barely acknowledge. It's best to isolate yourself from everyone at work and only talk to them about work-related matters. My new motto at work is now "Trust No One". Everyone is out to get you in this cold and evil world.
