How To Insulate Windows: Easy Installation & Removal

Indow window inserts block noise and cold drafts, and they are also very easy to install and remove. This video shows an Indow window insert being installed using brackets and a safety chain.

If your insert is over 8 ft. safety chains and brackets will automatically be included. Safety chains are used in the event of high wind pressure from the outside of leaky exterior windows. Indow inserts create such a tight fit that air pressure can build up and work to push the insert out. This is very unlikely, but we like to be safe rather than sorry.

If your insert is under 8 ft. you can request a safety chain either for the reason above, or to make it easier to open and close your existing window.

Insulating windows is easy with Indow window inserts, which you can install yourself (depending on the size of your window). Make sure the Indow sticker is facing out and the compression tube is resting flat against the window frame to get a tight seal.
