Hey Mr. Spirit of the Outdoors. The video you did about using a Crock-Pot to cook it down has really helped me. I have about 10 jars of what I call OMG Juice. Some of mine is about 20-25 ft tall. Size of small Trees. If you let one seed it will take over your yard. Mine looks like a Jungle.I quit mowing my yards. And all kinds of wild plants have popped up. A juicer is a pain. My family and I just walked a local creek trail, gathering wild lettuce. We also found mint and cattails. There are also other beneficial plants in this area, but i have to learn how to identify them and their uses.

This plant grows in South Africa too. So many 'weeds' are medicinal and edible. We let some edible ones grow in the veg garden. They don't need much water. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

I dry the leaves and use in teas. This fall, I'm gonna attempt an oil decoction for in pain salves. When I harvestm my hands are numb. Only makes sense it would topicaly kill pain.

Here in QC Canada I have only seen it around town, like to grow between concrete cracks, gros about 1 meter max, I have had misery finding virosa, but scariola aboundent, is both are as good médecin?

Here in Eastern Washington State I have about 30 Plants growing at my house. 20 plants grow in my garden as every other Garden Plant I grow in Raised Beds.

The variety of wild lettuce growing in my yard doesn't get nowhere near as tall or thick stocked as you have growing.
The leaves on mine grow more vertical like poppy leaves, and the poppy leaves resemble the variety of wild lettuce I have growing.
I am going to have to take more notes on mine to determine which variety I have for sure.

When I let my cultivated leaf lettuce go to seed it appears to have the same compounds as wild lettuce.
I have not done a side by side comparison of them yet.

Could a tea be preserved with citric acid. Maybe canning at a low heat. Freezing is how I preserve my elderberry syrup for an extended time.
