This meditation is for the strengthening and health of your root chakra. It will build on your ability to feel more capable of withstanding life’s challenges, and develop being grounded so that you feel safe in all sorts of situations, including sharing more of yourself with the world. It will also build your stability, resilience and a sense of connectedness to the world around you. A strong root centre gives a stable foundation for all the chakras in the human body.

MY EQUIPMENT:
The good thing with a bolster is that it is so versatile. You can straddle it, or sit cross legged with your bottom on top and your legs folding down (this greatly reduces the fold around your pelvis when in a seated position!). In a lying meditation you can put the bolster under your knees, or in a relaxation meditation you can lie length ways across the bolster allowing your shoulders to drop back.
I really enjoy using a bolster, and it is very handy if you are meditating often, however, a folded blanket or sitting on a chair will always suffice too.
