Caffeine has tons of mental health benefits. I am not the doctor that is telling you to stop.

But, for some people, caffeine can make mental health problems worse.

A recent publication "Effects of caffeine on anxiety and panic attacks in patients with panic disorder: A systematic review and meta-analysis" (PMID: 34871964) concluded that caffeine at doses roughly equivalent to 5 cups of coffee induces panic attacks among those with panic disorder.
