On one hand it's an extremely dangerous situation, on the other I kind of wish someone took some photographs. I'm positive there are tons of close up 9/11 crime scene photos, but they probably will not be public for a very long time.

Interesting. I’ve read so many first responder descriptions of the same thing but never seen it. There’s a book called Watching the World Change (I think). In trying to do research for the book the author wrote about how he had to go to some sketchy sites to find images, and it felt like trying to find weird porn or something. Maybe there’s a reason for that. The same author says that NYPD had a photographer or most likely a videographer in an elevated position (either helicopter or another building) that could see and photograph what was going on in the upper stories. Not everyone jumped by choice. People were being pushed out windows by others desperate for air. You kind of get a hint of that where we are allowed to see people stacked on top of each other at the windows. This isn’t talked about much because obvious reasons, it’s morbid and also culturally unacceptable to think that some people were deliberately pushed out. But it’s really just a biological response to oxygen deprivation.

I always ask myself How the hell did the guy recording get the close up to the plaza post-AA Crashes, dude’s braver than me that’s for sure.

So he's saying he took the elevator and lived but guy that took the stairs died? Figured it would be the other way around. Must have been real close to the timing of the collapse. Thanks for the vid.

Wait, he was in the Greenhouse Café right? So that means he ran into the Marriott mezzanine and got on the elevator down to street level, right? Or am I missing something?

There was stuff I saw years ago before YouTube existed. Never came across it on here though I've looked. So much has been sanitized. Never saw the videos again where you could here the billy Joel song, "she's always a woman". They had music playing in the courtyard area that you could sit out and each lunch on nice days. Never forgot that. Also the globe was a meeting spot. I believe that is still placed there and didn't get destroyed. When it happened on live tv you could see people jumping. People burned. Its all scrubbed up. I think people should see the real thing to honour what those people went through. I think its disrespectful to the victims to not show it.

So they were in the plaza, shooting video, (I assume he’s the one who shot that very close up footage of the man who tried to climb down the side of WTC 2) and he decided to get on an elevator to go down two stories? Why, to where? This would put him on the basement level beneath the mall right? Why 2 levels, isn’t the mall one level down?? They seem to be standing under the overhang of WTC 4, why not just walk back the way they came, from Church St? (Assuming he’s the one who shot the footage I’m thinking of)
