It’s a waste of time talking to any Dr. about anything because he/she will just suggest a pill and that’s not the answer for me.

Here’s my issue, I feel GREAT when I go to bed, so why do I wake up hot as hell?

It’s even more annoying waking up sweating in WINTER (as a male in his 20s)

Three different types of doctors couldn't tell me why I've had nightsweats for 4 years. PCP, OBGYN, and an Immunologist. Incredibly frustrating to say the least.

I know of someone who use to sweat alot when as a child, has been diagnosed with cancer now. Ive began to sweat also and im in my 40's, its no ordinary sweat just one night and im stinking. If i go gym it appears to eradicate the sweating, where as my gym sweat doesn't smell much, definitely something going on with toxins, someone should do a study exactly what is expelled by the body.

The cheap sheets and blankets at stores like Walmart are a poly cotton blend and they are adding more and more poly to the blend. Which means youre sleeping in plastic. I HATE IT. Sleeping in full cotton sheets, even flannel is better than that. Full cotton Flannel can even absorb some of the sweat and stay warm and comfortable for longer than that poly blend. Having a plastic matress pad under your sheets without enough of a cotton buffer between you and the mattress pad can also make you sweat, again sleeping on plastic. 🤮

This is helpful but I think one important condition that has not been mentioned is trauma! Unresolved trauma can create dysregulation/fight/flight responses which can cause sweating. The stress/fear response. Trauma therapy can help address this such as EMDR, EFT, IFS therapy, etc.

Been sweating at night since I was a child, often not able to sleep until I broke a sweat, both my ex and my late wife said I was a furnace once I fell asleep. So it usually the upper body armpit and up and the feet. No meds, not menopause, no health problems, bed room window ALWAYS cracked, and I live in Alaska, so room temp is defiantly not a factor... Not really a issue, cept have to have a new t shirt every night and one for day Sooo ya lots of t-shirts 🤷

I’ve been a human furnace since I was a child when I got a lot older, I noticed that the sweating is more perfusing when changing from winter to spring, always wondered if it had something to do with the core body temperature adjusting to the changing of the seasons.

Have nightsweats just sometimes it can be like a month or two between each, sometimes it can happen twice in a week, but I am absolutly drenched, and always have to either wach my self with a cloth or take a shower in the middle of the night, for then to turn the pillow, duve and position so I don't lay in the sweat, when I go to sleep again. Never have I gotten it twice in a night. And my room is about a bit over 10°C at night.

Yes I do, two or three times a month for the past year or so, even though I always always sleep with a fan blowing directly on me. Although, I'm never hot. I just like the noise and the coolness. First time, I thought I wet myself, except it was my upper half, lol. I never turn on my air conditioner because I'm always cold. I wear a jacket inside most of the time when I'm awake. Dr. claims it's menopause. Not sure I believe her. Haven't had a period for 15 years. Something is triggering it. I just wish I knew what. Will ask her about the cancer & med thing. But she should have mentioned these things when I asked about it. Thank you for the information.

Could a night sweat be caused by watching a beautiful doctor on youtube before you go to bed? lol
