Are you a patient who has a copay assistance card? Copay assistance cards are intended to alleviate expensive copays for patients. They are often provided by drug manufacturers and charities. It is important to understand how some insurance companies take payments from these cards, but do not apply these funds towards the patient's deductible or out of pocket costs.

Infusion Access Foundation advocates against copay accumulator policies so that insurance companies are not paid twice, and the savings is passed onto the patients they were intended to serve.

Watch this short video to understand how copay accumulator policies affect you, and what you can do about it.
