I just bought my first car, a 2017 prius. There have been some improvements since this one featured here - 2 cup holders! Still a beautiful interior, and picks amazingly. Indeed low clearance, but bearable with better springs. Thanks Wokabi, this video really encouraged me to get a prius. 😀

boss, about recharging the Hybrid Battery, its still the Advanced Alternator which is attached to the Motor, thats does it... Power from Battery is only utilized when you are on low speeds when Motor is in use but when you need more power for a kick off and high speeds, the Engine Kicks in. Together with the motor you get more power and ofcourse better fuel consumption. When the Engine is running, the alternator produces more Power much of it is stored in the Hybrid Battery. In a nutshell, Hybrid system is the main Power system for Moving the Car and the Engine Acts as a Major Back Up when Power is needed.

Great content as usual. Personally I'm not convinced by the looks of the car but the tech behind it is top notch. Hapo kwa regenerative braking it's kinetic energy that is converted to electrical energy, not friction

If you know how to deal with electricity, whereby you connect an inverter to 12v battery located in the trunk ..the inverter will convert 12v DC to Ac electricity of 220v, , so you get off-grid electricity that you can connect your electric staff like microwave, ntc..

This why people call prius a moving generator
