Zuko got shot by Azulaz lightning DURING the comet and didn’t immediately die. When Aang got hit by Azulas Lightning on a regular day he was out out. But again he was only 12, so no diss on Aang, I’m just saying don’t underestimate Zuzu.

Zuko got burned in the face, hit by boomerang, hit by aang into walls by a mattress and into the ceiling, blasted into countless walls and into the air, hit by lightning, struck by several rocks, scratched by azula, hit by lightning but redirected it, hit nearly off the cliff by combustion man, blown up by pirates and so on. Pretty impressive how he managed to keep going without stopping at all.

You have to expect appa not to put all his weight on one foot. He more likely used it in the same way a man can pin a cat with a hand without crushing them. Appa is no dumb animal

Appa is sentient, understands human speech and is aware of his size, and by extention, weight. This may be one of the reasons he was designed as a hexapod - in order to do whatever with his front limbs without crushing anything, he places his entore weight on his middle and rear limbs. This means that when he "tackled" Sokka, his middle and rear legs (not paws, he has no claws) held around 2.5 tonnes each.
