Disconnect negative side of the Battery... Wait 5 minutes, then reconnect... Turns off all models of Check Engine lights. Especially when you have to get an inspection done. (Remember to travel 50miles in order to completely erase any memory of the check engine light sensors that triggered it in the first place to pass the inspection).

This worked great for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. I randomly had the light come on but the self-diagnosis threw no codes so I just needed to clear it.

Worked as described on 2018 Jeep GC Sterling Ed. -- Ckh Eng light was on following wheel alignment (shifting to N w/ engine off requires pulling Neutral lever in center console which triggered the check engine light).. decided to do some quick research here, found the suggestion on the Negative battery terminal, then found this article. Decided nothing to lose except 30 - 45 seconds... worked perfectly and didn't have to take the extra few minutes to disconnect battery, or locate an OBD2 scanner.
