I eat steel cut oats with blueberries, chia seeds and ground flax with some Yogurt. I take your glucose supplement. Sometimes replace oatmeal with Quinoa. Amen. My AIC stays at 5.0. Thanks you.

I found a crock pot recipe with a cup and a half of steel cut oats, apple slices, 1/2 tsp Ceylon cinnamon, 3 1/2 cups of water. Be sure and spray the small crockpot with cooking spray first. Mix all and cook on low for 8 hrs in small crock pot. I have done this 2 times now and have enough oats for at least 4 breakfasts! Delicious! I use stevia for sweetner.

I put a teaspoon of chia seeds in the rice cooker with the steel cut oats. I really like this combo.

I stopped eating oatmeal because within an hour or so, I would get really hungry which is a sure sign that it was spiking my blood sugar. I will try the Steel Cut Oats and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for all of the information that you have provided. I really appreciate it!

My wife (who is not diabetic) and I make a mix to give oatmeal added flavour. We mix raw sunflower seeds, raw pumpkin seeds, crushed almonds, ground flax, and chia seeds every few weeks. Sprinkle two teaspoons over the oatmeal. If you like you can substitute pecans or walnuts for the almonds if you like. This also helps bland high fiber low GI cereals like Post Wheat 'N Bran Shredded Wheat.

Have been eating oatmeal for years, with sliced almonds, and cinnamon. Kept getting increasingly constipated. started using cider vinegar gummie probiotics, after about a month or so, bowel movements started to become normal again.

Steel cut oats, touch of curry powder (1 tspn), black pepper, dash of sea salt w/ a touch of olive oil and that gives me my oatmeal groove!

Thank you for this video. I've been avoiding oats because of my insulin resistance

That was a picture of rolled oats not steel cut.
I also treat steel cut oats like grits in respect to cooking with water and adding some olive oil, salt, pepper, cumin and diced onion, mushrooms and asparagus. Goes well with side of eggs. I use 1/4 cup organic steel cut oats, Walmart brand. I’m not diabetic but my understanding is that steel cut oats are lower glycemic because all the fiber from the husk is still there and not processed out.

Every time I eat steel cut oats (organic) I am ferociously hungry ALL DAY! There’s none of that “full and satisfied” at all. I’d eat it more often if that didn’t happen.

Thank you dr. for all the good information you provide us thru your videos. I am diabetic and stopped taking metformin since it was giving me a terrible tummy ache. I has recently started on your advanced glucose support and the next day my my glucose was 90, the following day 88, and on the third day was 77. Just like you said it is close to a miracle.

Fiber doesn’t help me control blood sugar. If I eat half a small pear it’s going to spike over 200. Oatmeal, even steel cut, same thing.

I cook ste5el cut oats the night before I eat them. Bring them to a boil and simmer 5 minutes covered. Turn off heat and leave them until morning. Voila! Perfectly cooked. Enjoy!

Fermenting oats overnight is a good thing to do also, and the oats cook faster and better for gut health!
