Thank you Zach for saying that, I live in FL but did not live in the red hurricane path thankfully and my house hasn’t damaged other than a couple fence got damaged and one foundation thingy pop off but other than that, I’m good. Lost power for 3 days till today

About that, a good 1000 Watt online UPS costs about half of my build or 7 times my motherboard. And I don't think I'll lose more than 1 or 2 mobo's to power outages, so I'm good.

A good friend of mine gave me one when I moved out. I was extremely appreciative then, and am extremely appreciative now; I've had power outages and blinks occasionally since moving back home, and it's given me a tremendous amount of peace of mind. A power outage bricked my previous motherboard before I got the UPS, and that's made me really wary of power stuff since then.

I have always had UPS since childhood because of my dad and he needed them so he doesn't lose data if electricity goes out. I have always appreciated them and they have saved my save files 100s of times.

Thank you Zach for saying that. Unfortunately I live about 25 miles north of where land fall was. This is definitely the closest Tampa has came to a direct hit in 103 years. A lot of damage unfortunately especially in Sarasota. Definitely could have been way worse if it hit Tampa like it was going to. Dodged a bullet once again.

One protects my NASes and one protects my desktop, main router and Starlink equipment.
These things may not look fancy but are absolutely worth it.

Even with a big-assed whole-house standby generator, I have UPSes on my computer, TV, cable box & cable modem to keep everything lit up during the 20 seconds it takes the whole-house generator to come online. They came in handy when Helene's eye came within 50 miles of my house.
