You should start with the side sear to render the fat off and sear the rest of the steak in. Doing it afterwards just promotes a uneven cook.

Well I didn’t have high quality Ontario raised beef, just the NY steak that was on discount at my local supermarket 😭 but I followed the rest of the instructions and it came out great lol

Tbh ' my steaks got at least 8 items in there ' talkn bout "Liberally" wit salt n peppa, lmao, how bout hit it wit Lemon 1st, then Mtl steak spice (or equivalent) then hit wit Olive oil, Then, some herbs, rosemary / thyme...then freestyle the rest!

Man...this was a rough watch.

1. Season with salt at least 2 hours before.
2. Pat dry before going in
3. Use Ghee or tallow for oil
4. Fat down first
5. Are you using a fork to flip? You're literally poking holes into the steak letting juices out.
6. Don't put butter in until you cut heat. You're going to burn the butter.
7. Look how dry it looks at the cut. You let out juices each time you flipped
