Once Microsoft ABK clears I'm sure Xbox will use the COD money to put more content into GamePass.

I'll have more money for a future gamepass ultimate price increase, because Sony gave me a great reason to cancel my PS Plus subscription that I've maintained since 2010 even though my main Sony console is the PS2 for the last few years which is not even connected to the internet.... Compared to the PS Plus, Gamepass Ultimate has been a tremendous value.

We’ll definitely get FF7 Remake. Square changed their exclusivity with the release FF16. And the fact that 7 Remake 2 has a shorter window means that that game series will transition faster than we previously thought.

They can't raise the price anywhere near the purchase of ABK because they told regulators they wouldn't increase the price because of ABK. So bare minimum I think the price stays here for another 2 years

Great vid again - didn't realize you were a Div2 agent. We have been playing since the start of Div 2 and a little Div1 on Xbox. I am excited for Division 3 but will probably be much older when it does come out.

Zero surprise with the GP price increase and I'm expecting it to increase again. With all of the new content coming, it's well worth it. I'd be willing to spend up to $25 a month, if the content is there.

I wish Team Xbox would announce Ninja Gaiden. Ninja Gaiden was exclusive to the original Xbox back in 2021. This is what Microsoft needs to really propel Xbox to further heights. Get back the exclusivity to Ninja Gaiden and start the revival of this long dormant franchise.

Phil is just being smart VP. If they said they werent going to raise the prices and then 4 years down the line inflation made it impossible for them not too and they did. Even with that taken into account, somebody would reference the interview about Phil being a liar and blah blah blah. Even if the real world cost was identical at that time, any price increase is going to be met with the same nonsense it always has been. So yeah, might as well just be honest. Sony and Microsoft don't make their money with hardware sales. They make it with sofware sales. If they put their games in one store they don't own, like Steam (from Valve), they win 30% less for each sale from the games they make, and they make nothing from games that other people made (obviously). Now, if they sell you a game from their own store, that doesn't happen. Not only they get 100% of the money from sales of their own games, but also, if other developers put their games on their store, they get 30% of the money from each sale of each games they didn't make. This is why they want to lock down players into their ecosystem, and why consoles are basically a scam (I could elaborate more, but you spend thousands of dollars more during a generation if you choose to play on a console instead of PC). Why don't they make their own store on PC? Because there's competition. You have to give players a good reason to use your store. Microsoft tried, and failed, because the only reason they gave us to use their store is we weren't able to buy their games anywhere else. Sony didn't even try, because they know Microsoft failed because PC gamers have way to many options. Way to many good deals, and way to many games to use an exclusive as "bait". "Best Indie Games" is a good channel to keep track of a lot indie games you don't hear about on consoles every month. On PC you have Playstation exclusives, Nintendo games, Xbox exclusives, multiplatforms and PC exclusives from any generation at your disposal, and on top of that, the best deals ever with keys to use on, you guessed it, STEAM. This is why Steam is so popular. The best deals are not on Steam. The best deals are on different sites that give you keys you use on Steam. Options is the last think PC gamers lack, so an exclusive is not a good reason to use a different store, because your game isn't special. You have to give players more. Epic did find something (free games, and cheaper prices on release + discount coupons), but Microsoft found something even better.

Microsoft found a way to give PC and Xbox gamers a reason to use their store and their service. They get all the money from all the games that are there. The best part is, as a consumer, I don't even need to buy their console to be a part of that. I don't need a Series X/S to be part of the Xbox community. What are they giving me? Basically, the best deal ever. A huge catalog of games for a monthly fee that makes me feel like I'm stealing from them. Game Pass is the Netflix of videogames, and I have nothing to say againts it. I'm surprised that we are not 100 million subscribers yet, but I hope it keeps growing, because the more people use it, the better. We all win. It's a great deal for consumers, and a huge win for Microsoft. I see what they are trying to do, and I also believe in the future of Game Pass. Even if you are a Playstation or Nintendo fanboy, you have to admit, that sh*t is good, and if you aren't using it, you're missing out.

Microsoft needs to get obsidian to work on another fall out while Bethesda works on elder scrolls 6. They should remaster new vegas then release a new fall out

I'd like to see XBox bring back XBox arcade. Those smaller, lighter games like OutRun or Afterburner Climax or Shinobi would do well in Japan. Something players can just pick up and play.

360 had a number of JRPGs that were exclusive. XBox should look into reviving and expanding those. Successful franchises tend to do well with world building

MS also needs better localisation efforts for Japan and SE Asia

Do it, do it, do it, do it! 😂 I would die a happy man if Tenchu was brought back.. It would be a dream for them to form a new studio in Japan with the intention of housing Tenchu much like how they did with 343 and Coalition.. Ideally with considerably more success...

Xbox might have to make an offer to From Software to acquire the full rights to Tenchu..

But as it stands.. Activision owns the right to Tenchu 1, 2, 3 and Xbox already owns the rights to Tenchu Z.. These 4 games were the only ones that people liked from the series.. In my personal opinion Tenchu 2 is the best..

The MGS collection being 1080p is fine by me.. I dont expect 60fps on MGS1.. Its a PS1 game.. Plus many of them are designed for 30.. So its more work than you'd expect.. Increasing resolution also isnt as simple.. Textures are effected.. Lighting is effected.. Models are effected.. MGS1 in 4k sounds like it might cut my eyes honestly.. Plus the games just wont feel the same if you mess with them to much.. Some people just want excuses to hate instead of really thinking about the bigger picture..

MGS1 and MGS4 on Xbox.. The end.. Done.. Sold.. Thats 2 less exclusives Sony has for their platform.. MGS is now fully multiplatform.
