I'm 50 in December and haven't enjoyed my job for a long time. Came across yourself on YouTube searching for something totally unrelated and you've inspired me. Had been making bits and pieces during lockdown and really enjoyed it, but your videos have been an eye opener.
Would I love to do what you do as a business? Absolutely. But I'd never imagine I could do it. After maybe. 😊
Keep up the good work and hope it helps more people have the same faith in themselves.

I'm surprised visibility/competition didn't come up. Like, "why would people choose my product, when there are so many others that are better?" Or, "how would people even find my shop, among the other, bigger shops."

Very good advice, anyway. I particularly struggle with not feeling like what I make is good enough.

Great advice, I tell my children all i expect is that you try your best and don't be afraid of making a mistake, mistakes are for learning from. On that note I need to commit more time to my Etsy shop and descriptions and i get great feed back from the rings I do. keep up the great work Dan

Great video I remember you using a mini lathe Chinese type in your earlier videos and your one now looks bigger. Are the smaller mini lathes ok if you get the metal geared version or does it struggle with stainless etc. Ps I can find the address for your newsletter

Did you create your brand before investing in your brand name? I have a name for my brand however, right now I would rather invest in the material & tools to get started, instead of paying to register my brand name. Advice?

Look, think about _one crazy business_ that nobody in their right minds would think would be successful and that's Barnby Carder's shop 'Spoon' in London. He founded The Spoon Club and the only thing he sells is hand carved wooden spoons. That shop is _successful_ !

Bro, I appreciate your knowledge and encouragement. I don't live far from you. I often feel like I need to meet you in person so I can truly experience your everyday thing. I have a desire to create my own business but I have so many questions. I mainly use wood as my play thing but use other materials to. I need some 121 guidance is what I mean. General things mainly from another maker. Wishful thinking. Lol take care buddy, another great vid👊
