I retired at 61; I’m 67 now. I am so happy to have peace and quiet. I don’t spend much time with people. I’m never lonely have no desire to date or marry. Just me and my dogs happily ever after. ❤

When you reach a certain age, your peace is priority. Time is running short and there is no time for nonsense, unnecessary drama, or BS. For me protecting my peace is everything.

I am 52 but have been avoiding people since my late forties. It's a wise move for most.

I went a step further. I retired two years ago at 63. I was head of IT which meant it was 24-7-365 with the admin password. I do avoid crowds, parties and any scheduled social gatherings generally after 6-7 PM, but I also put away my watch and stopped carrying around my cell phone. No more *dings* or notifications. Complete freedom from the outside distractions. Stress level dropped to zero, I get 7 hours of sleep and my "job" now is to manage my health every day, and - I've earned it.

I also avoid people. I am an introvert and I don't feel the need to interact with people. Not that I can't be kind or say a few kind words when I should but I prefer my own company. I at times get lonely, I am human but I'm never alone because God is my constant companion. I don't like dealing with drama and I hate gossip!!Life is too short! I am 62 and refuse to deal with nonsense!! God bless you!😊❤
